Really fun day!!

me
We had a super fun day today! We had decided a few weeks ago to go to the Ichetucknee (see website http://www.floridastateparks.org/ichetuckneesprings/). Well, we dropped Ethan off at his Aunt Keri's house and headed to Gate to get me some coffee (which is soo not as good as Starbuck's but Doug wouldn't let me spend $4 on a cup of coffee today). Then, we went to LJ and Britt's house where Jen and Murph and Nick and Tiffany were all waiting to leave, we were also waiting on Lindsey so it wasn't just us being late which we were only 1 minute late but hey. So then they all went to get some breakfast and by the time they got there Lindsey had showed up so we skidaddled on out on our adventure. Our trek was supposed to be about an hour and 45 minutes but we ended up getting lost (thank you MapQuest directions...Turn right. wtf?) and it took us a whole 3 hours and 2 country bumpkins later. We got our tubes and headed off to the tram, we were soo lucky with the tram because we were the last people who got to get on at the midpoint of the river which is 1.5 hour ride at 1 mph. The last point you lose a half hour so I'm glad we at least got to get on at the midpoint launch. OMG, when we jumped in, it was the coldest water I had been in, in a long, long time. So we were having a good time, we got to the last launch point and just past it, it started to pour down rain. The rain was freezing too but it wasn't that big of a deal since we were already wet, the thunder was a little scary but we got through it. Then I got tipped over in my tube, I was the last person to get tipped over and I knew it was coming so no big deal. It was a nice time floating down the river. Then we get to the end where the current gets stronger and we get out of the water. I was sooo freezing the whole way home. We got on the tram to go back to our cars and washed our dirty feets off and drove to KFC, we were starving because by this time it was like 330pm and Doug and I hadn't eaten anything. Then we saw the most amazing site, I75. We knew this was the road that would lead us home and we could drive more than 50mph and we wouldn't be out in the middle of BFE. So we took I75 to I10 to I295 and now we're home. I am sooo tired, but at least I'm not sunburned this time!!! I only put sunscreen on once but it got really cloudy and there was a lot of shade so I'm cool! That's all for now!
