OMG We had the most amazing dinner tonight, better than any restaurant and we cooked it all ourselves. We got shrimp skewers on sale at Publix 10 for $10 with 5 shrimp on each skewer and the lady at the seafood counter gave us an awesome idea on how to cook em. So that was our good deal but this was our whole menu!
1. Shrimp skewers basted in italian dressing (thank you seafood lady!)
2. Steak rubbed with spices
3. My famous green beans
4. Baked potatoes
5. Garlic bread with cajun seasoning (yummo!)
6. Potato Salad
7. Macaroni Salad
8. Some Bojangles Sweet Tea!
It was all soooo good, it was like a meal fit for a king and we have leftovers for tomorrow! It feels so good to cook at home and enjoy cooking and spending time with friends and family. I love the fellowship that we get when we're all together! Next time I want to be able to play some games. We have one called Fact or Crap that's just hilarious to play with a bunch of people! Anyways, now we are watching a movie called, "Zodiac", a little nervous about it because scary movies are definitely not my thing. I will probably be up late and keep Doug up because I hate being in the dark after watching one.
