what to say, what to say

about today? Nothing really exciting happened. We woke up, watched Snakes on a Plane (had some gross parts), then Ethan took a very short 30 minute nap. After that little nap he woke up and played for awhile, had fun chasing the kitty (Angel did not enjoy this part of the day). Then he went down again around noon and slept for almost 2 hours and we were waiting til he got up to go to the mall to get some stuff. We got Doug's haircut, guys are so weird because he knew who he wanted to cut his hair but he just about lost his mind with nervousness when the girl at the front desk asked him what he needed and so he just took whoever was available, she ended up being some little Asian girl and she couldn't really understand what he wanted and now his hair isn't as short as he normally gets it and not like the other lady there could cut it. Oh well, it's not my hair so whatever. Ethan was a pill at the mall, I really am not liking this whole seperation anxiety thing because everytime I would leave him to push the stroller he would get really upset and just start wailing and then people start staring and I really, really don't like calling too much attention to myself, it makes me nervous. After Doug got his haircut we went to Children's Place to get Ethan some more 12 month sleepers because he's outgrowing the ones we were using which some were 6 months and the sleeves were getting too short lol...Oh well, now all of them fit! The Children's Place had the sleepers on sales 3 for $25 so that was good, at least we got a good deal even though were trying to save money. After the Children's Place we went to the food court to get some lunch, Doug got Taco Bell and I got Chinese! I love the food court because everyone can get whatever they are feeling like without having to drive to two different places. Ethan ate some rice and teriyaki chicken and he was lovin the peas and carrots in the fried rice! When we were done eating we decided it was time to leave the madhouse known as the Orange Park Mall and head off to my favorite place in the world, TARGET!!! Target wasn't quite as crazy as the mall and we needed a few things. We got some oatmeal, bananas, diapers, and squash for Ethan and we got new Pulsar toothbrushes, toothpaste, and bodywash for us. Oh yea we also had to get a new ice cream scooper which I don't use for ice cream because it kills my teeth but I always use it to fill my muffin cups, my other one broke this morning while I was making blueberry muffins, which by the way weren't that good because I sent Doug to the store for the mix and he bought some brand called Krusteaz (yea sounds a lot like crusties...doesn't it???) and I usually buy Betty Crocker which are much, much better. Oh well, after Target, we went to Walgreen's to pick up Ethan's reflux medicine, pedi says we won't need to use it much longer but I think he still needs it for now. Then we came home and Ethan had a much needed bottle of half and half formula and 1% milk. I think I may try to up it to 2% milk once we get rid of this last 1/2 gallon of 1%. Then, after we use up all the formula that we have, we are going to go to straight milk! He's getting so big I just can't believe it. My little boy is going to be a whole year old in less than 3 months. It seems like just yesterday he was still a lump and wanted to be held all the time. Oh well, I'm getting too mushy just thinking about it. I'll leave it at that for now!
